[News] VATECH employs “seniors” aged 50 or older

2013.07.31

Under the core value of “Sharing” and business philosophy of “Create Good Jobs,” VATECH Networks initiated moves to employ retired seniors aged 50 or older.

For two months from May to June, in connection with the “Support Program for Middle-aged or Elderly People” by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and “Worknet,” an official recruiting organization by the government, the activity sought to provide job opportunities to those who could easily be marginalized in society. Most of the applicants were those who were highly experienced in design, R&D, and manufacturing; the final six were selected after a competition of 15 to 1 to become VATECH-ers.

After completing their newcomer training and On-the-Job training, each was assigned to his/her position and has been working since June 10.

One-on-one mentoring, team building, and other various events are scheduled to aid in their smooth settlement and create a stable working environment.
