Vatech (www.vatech.com) has announced the launch of EzSensor Wave in North America. ‘Wave’ is a new type of intraoral sensor with excellent imaging accuracy and usability. The new sensor fits smoothly along with the shapes of a patient’s oral cavity, providing comfort for both doctors and patients during the diagnosis.

Conventional rigid sensors often cause pains and discomfort especially for women and children which lead patients changing the position multiple times during the diagnosis. However, Wave’s soft body and rounded edges are optimized for small arches, making easier to position the sensor inside of the mouth and allow staff for comfortable shooting.

Wave will be first launched in North America and Europe; both are high-ends and well-developed markets with a growing interest on the issue of radiation exposure in medical fields. While targeting the advanced dental markets with its premium product lineup, the company will continue preoccupying emerging markets through a thorough localization.
