Global X-ray detector company reports 25.7% revenue growth as industrial imaging solutions gain momentum in semiconductor manufacturing
Hwaseong, South Korea, August 11, 2026 — Rayence Co., Ltd. (CEO Young Kwon Seo, KOSDAQ: 228850), a global X-ray detector and imaging solutions company, announced on August 11 that its preliminary consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026 showed revenue of KRW 36.46 billion and operating profit of KRW 2.51 billion.
Revenue increased 25.7% year over year. Operating profit turned positive from an operating loss of KRW 310 million in the same period last year, with an operating margin of 6.9%.
Industrial Detector Business Leads Growth
This quarter’s revenue growth was led by the industrial detector business. Industrial detector revenue reached KRW 7.11 billion, up 140.9% year over year. Growth in the semiconductor market drove expanded sales of detectors for inspection equipment, sustaining momentum in the industrial business. This expansion also contributed to improved profitability. Operating leverage from higher product sales significantly improved operating profit, with Rayence recording operating profits in both the first and second quarters of this year.
Dental and Veterinary Businesses Maintain Stable Growth
The dental and veterinary detector businesses also maintained stable growth. Veterinary detector revenue reached KRW 11.03 billion, up 30.4% year over year, while dental detector revenue grew 13.2% to KRW 12.61 billion.
By product, CMOS detector revenue reached KRW 13.06 billion, up 77.4% year over year. This reflects expanded sales of CMOS-based products across various applications, including semiconductor inspection equipment as well as the dental and veterinary markets.
First-Half 2026 Results Show Improved Earnings Structure
Cumulative revenue for the first half of 2026 reached KRW 73.21 billion, up 30.2% year over year, with operating profit of KRW 6.1 billion. Having recorded an operating loss in the first half of last year, Rayence has achieved operating profits in consecutive quarters this year, continuing its trend of improved earnings structure.
Outlook for the Second Half
Rayence plans to continue growing its industrial business in the second half of the year, based on expanded sales of detectors for semiconductor inspection equipment. The company will strengthen its competitiveness in the industrial business through new customer acquisition, expanded mass-production conversion, and new product supply, while also expanding collaboration with key customers in the dental and veterinary markets.
“In the second quarter, solid sales of semiconductor detectors continued, while the dental and veterinary businesses also grew, contributing to revenue expansion,” said Young Kwon Seo, CEO of Rayence. “In the second half, we will expand our customer base in the semiconductor inspection equipment market and continue our growth by supplying detectors optimized for a variety of applications.”
